At Village Church Wirral, Jesus is central to everything we are and everything we do. He is the foundation of our faith, the focus of our mission, and the One we follow with all our hearts. We believe that “all things were created through Him and for Him” (Col 1:16), and it’s His life, death, resurrection that defines who we are. We are now forgiven set free from our sins and past, adopted into the family of God, in dwelt by the Spirit with the newness of life. Our church exists to know Christ deeply and to make Him known to others, reflecting His love, truth, and grace in every part of our lives. Everything—from our worship and teaching to our community gatherings and mission—is rooted in Jesus and His gospel.
At Village Church Wirral, we prioritise being with Jesus in a life rooted in His presence, shaped by His truth, and devoted to His glory. Worship is not just singing songs; it’s a way of life that honours God in every moment. Through rhythms of Scripture, prayer, and reflection, we align our hearts with His, allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. As Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you” (John 15:4), reminding us that worship begins with resting in His presence. True worship flows into every aspect of our lives. As Paul writes, “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1). Whether in gathered worship with our church family or in daily acts of devotion and obedience, worship reflects God’s glory and shapes us as His disciples. At Village Church Wirral, we invite everyone to experience this life-transforming worship and live as people who encounter His love and make Him known.
At Village Church Wirral, we embrace the powerful biblical metaphor of the Church as a family—a place where everyone belongs, is valued, and grows together. We are more than just a congregation; we are a family of disciples on a mission, united by a shared vision to see Wirral transformed through knowing Christ and making Him known. Here, you’ll find the warmth of authentic relationships, the joy of shared purpose, and the encouragement to live out your faith boldly. Together, we strive to be a beacon of hope and love, welcoming all to join us in discovering and sharing the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:7, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Ephesians 2:19, Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:25, John 13:34-35, Ephesians 4:15-16, Hebrews 10:24-25)
At the heart of our vision is the word disciple—a word that defines both our identity and our purpose. To be a disciple of Jesus means more than simply believing in Him; it means following Him wholeheartedly, being shaped by His teachings, and reflecting His character in our lives. A disciple is someone who grows in knowing Christ deeply—cultivating a personal, transformative relationship with Him—and in making Him known to others, sharing the hope and love we’ve found in Him. It’s a journey of spiritual formation and purpose, where we are called not only to be transformed but also to multiply. Jesus made disciples and commanded us to do the same, calling us to invest in others, walk alongside them, and invite them to follow Him. At Village Church Wirral, we are committed to walking this path together—growing as disciples who live to know Christ and make Him known, transforming the Wirral and beyond. (Matthew 4:19, Luke 9:23, 10:2, John 8:31-32, Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 1:8, Colossians 1:28-29)
At Village Church Wirral, we embrace authenticity because we recognise that no one is perfect. In a world that pressures us to hide our struggles and present a polished version of ourselves, we believe that the gospel frees us to be real. Jesus meets us exactly where we are—broken, weak, and in need of grace—and transforms us through His power. As Paul says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We strive to be a community where it’s safe to drop the masks, share our burdens, and walk together in humility. When we are honest about our imperfections, we experience the fullness of God’s grace and extend that same grace to one another. The Bible calls us to “bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2) and to “confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16). Together, we encourage one another to lean on Christ, knowing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Here, you don’t need to have it all together to belong. Authenticity allows us to grow in Christlikeness, showing a watching world that our hope isn’t in our perfection but in the grace of Jesus. Come as you are, and together, let’s journey toward wholeness, finding freedom in being known and loved by Him.
At Village Church, we believe that hospitality reflects the very heart of God, who invites us into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Just as Christ has welcomed us into His family, we are called to open our lives, and homes to others. Hospitality is about creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and loved—whether it’s a meal, a conversation, or simply a listening ear. “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality” (Romans 12:13).
Sharing life and meals together holds a special place in our life as a church. Like Jesus, who often revealed His love and truth over meals, we share food and life together, building relationships that reflect His grace. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). In opening our homes and hearts, we embody the gospel, showing that all are welcome, all are valued, and all can find a place to belong.
Hospitality isn’t about perfection or having everything together—it’s about creating space for others to encounter Jesus through the warmth of genuine love and community. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea with a neighbour or gathering with a missional community, we believe God uses these simple, ordinary moments to do extraordinary things.
At Village Church, we live intentionally to make Christ known wherever He has placed us—in our workplaces, neighbourhoods, homes, and beyond. Jesus’ final words to His disciples are the heartbeat of our mission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). We believe that every follower of Jesus is sent to share His love, truth, and hope in the ordinary rhythms of life.
Mission isn’t reserved for a select few—it’s a calling for all of us. Whether through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or opportunities to share the gospel, we seek to shine Christ’s light into the world. Jesus reminds us, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”(Matthew 5:16). We aim to live intentionally, looking for opportunities to reflect Jesus wherever we go, trusting that God works through our faithfulness.
As we live on mission together, we do so with courage, compassion, and the conviction that the gospel transforms lives. Whether serving our local community, meeting practical needs, or sharing our faith, we believe that every moment matters in God’s Kingdom. Our prayer is that through our lives, the Wirral—and beyond—will come to know the life-changing power of Jesus.
At Village Church, we believe that multiplication is at the heart of God’s mission. Jesus didn’t just call His followers to grow as disciples; He called them to go and make disciples who would, in turn, make more disciples. Multiplication is how the gospel spreads, lives are transformed, and God’s Kingdom advances. As it says in Acts, “And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47).
We are committed to multiplying disciples, missional communities, and churches across the Wirral and beyond. This begins with investing in people—walking alongside them, sharing the love of Jesus, and equipping them to do the same for others. As disciples grow, we see communities take root—small, flexible gatherings where people come to know Christ and live out His mission together. And as these communities flourish, we pray they will multiply into new church plants, uniquely shaped to serve their neighbourhoods and proclaim the gospel.
Multiplication isn’t about building a name for ourselves; it’s about seeing God’s Kingdom expand, one disciple, one community, and one church at a time. Jesus promised, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). This vision compels us to live faithfully, share courageously, and trust God for growth.
We invite you to join us on this mission—whether it’s growing as a disciple, helping to lead a missional community, or being part of planting new churches. Together, we can see lives transformed, neighbourhoods renewed, and the Wirral saturated with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Will you join us as we multiply for His glory and the good of our world?
