At Village Church Wirral, our vision is bold but clear: to multiply disciples and missional communities across every corner of the Wirral, so that every man, woman, and child has the opportunity to encounter a disciple of Jesus making Christ known. This is more than a mission—it’s a reflection of our heart for the people and places that make up this unique peninsula we love to call home.
The Wirral is a patchwork of villages and towns, each with its own identity, culture, and community rhythms. We chose the name Village Church to honour this reality and reflect our strategy. Our prayer is to see thriving missional communities in every ward of the Wirral—communities that embody the love of Christ, share the good news of the gospel, and serve as a tangible expression of God’s Kingdom.
Our strategy is simple we are committed to helping every disciple of Jesus grow in Knowing Christ more and then equipping them to Make Christ known.
We believe that knowing Christ is the foundation of discipleship.
It’s about cultivating a deep, personal relationship with Jesus through intentional practices that shape every part of our lives. We are committed to creating space for God to transform our hearts and lives, whether it be in times of prayer and studying God’s Word to intentionally pursuing Jesus through other spiritual habits in our everyday lives. We grow in knowing Christ together, in community we encourage one another to abide in Jesus, allowing His presence to guide and renew us.
Whether it’s through our Missional communities, prayer gatherings or studying God’s Word, we’re here to equip you to take meaningful steps in your walk with Jesus, growing in His love and truth every day. Wherever you are in your faith, there’s a place for you to walk with us as we seek to know Christ more deeply.

At Village Church Wirral, we are passionate about making Christ known in the ordinary moments of life. Whether it’s serving in your neighbourhood, sharing your faith, or walking alongside someone in their journey, we believe that everyone has a part to play in spreading the hope of the gospel. Jesus calls us to be his ambassadors and through us He shines His light in our words and actions, bringing hope, healing, and love to the world around us.
We equip disciples to live on mission by investing in others, sharing their testimonies, and reflecting Christ’s character in everyday relationships. Join us as we live out this calling together, sharing the life-changing power of Jesus with the Wirral and beyond.
We believe that discipleship is about becoming more like Jesus in every area of life. It’s not about perfection but transformation—walking with Jesus, learning from Him, and living in His way with His heart. As disciples, we grow in knowing Christ deeply, through spiritual formation and intentional practices, and in making Him known through how we live, love, and share the gospel.
We’re committed to equipping every follower of Jesus to grow as a disciple who makes disciples. Through intentional discipleship, we empower believers to live out their faith in ways that impact their families, workplaces, and communities.
Our focus is on planting and nurturing missional communities in every ward of the Wirral. These communities are small, flexible, and contextually rooted, designed to meet the specific needs of their local areas while embodying the mission of Jesus.
As missional communities grow and mature, we pray that some will become church plants, forming new congregations that are fully embedded in their local villages or towns. Each church plant will be a beacon of light and hope, multiplying disciples and missional communities in its turn.
